"OK, I'm not embellishing this story at all, but in my high school Year Book (too long ago to mention), the caption under my graduation picture
read" Moving to Toronto to work for a Record Company and make big bucks!"

Geez if I had only known that a) Big Bucks is a relative term (and I'm still trying to find the comfort zone in that term!) and that b) it takes a
LONG TIME to be able to establish ones-self in this business...I may not have put that quote in there!

But, hell, after all, I DO work for a Record Company (or rather, Entertainment Company as we call ourselves now) and I have made a living at
this for quite a few years now, I suppose the message back to myself could be...good job...you had a dream and you chased it!

Today, helping artists chase their dreams is a large part of what I and the rest of the team at EMI Music Canada do for our "jobs" day in and
day out...
I am fortunate enough to work with some of the very best Indie labels in Canada (and the US) on a daily basis in taking their products and
artists to market through our Distribution system and helping grow their businesses and careers to the point where they establish themselves
and are able to have long careers (and to an extent, chase those  BIG BUCKS!).

Doing Band Bash was a fantastic experience last year and I'm looking forward to taking part again as the guy who works for a label on the
pure business side of things, where I can put a different spin on things in combination with the other Judges, who represent the more creative
side of this wacky business we all love."
